  1. Farai, you are a national treasure and constant source of inspiration. NPR is foolish to let you go, but you will go on to greater heights and platforms, because your voice is vital, especially now.

  2. Thank you to everyone behind the scenes, and at the forefront, of news and notes. i live out here in the San Francisco area of California, and I discovered your program by accident. I am 31.I am also black, white, japanese, cherokee, and choctaw. Being multiracial and multiethnic, it is difficult to find levelheaded perspective pertaining issues affecting me. News and notes gave me a solid ground in the media. I have been listening for a year. I think the show is great for addressing things people need to know---whether it is in our nation, talking about keeping our President accountable(and addressing the fact that people are starstruck) or what goes on with the albinos in Africa. Much love and I am sad, and grateful. I hope to see you all on some form of media in the future.

  3. What an incredibly talented and committed group of people working on this show. It's hard to believe any one will be without work for long. But that doesn't lessen the loss.

  4. I'll really miss News & Notes. :( It opened my world view up tremendously and provided me new outlets to research. Additionally, the show introduced me to new artists (visual and musical). I think there will be a void on NPR (and other news media outlets) now that this show will be off the air.

  5. NPR lost clout and credibility with the elimination of News and Notes. The week isn't the same without Ms. Chideya's extraordinary hosting and the incredible gathering of issues and viewpoints to which she gave voice. I wish her and all the News and Notes staff the very best, and hope to see/hear you on your next gig very soon.

  7. Gosh, I miss the show. It's as if I've lost and old, trusted friend. N&N was about quality in commentary--something that's rare nowadays. Thank you, Farai and staff of N& N staff for some great work.
